Dear Emmaus Family,

July 19th was our Quarter Auction held in the FLC building at Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren. It was an overwhelming success! A huge “Thank You!” goes out to all those who attended and made this fundraising event one to remember. We raised over $2100.00!

As you know, the Women’s Walk #56 is quickly approaching (Thursday, October 23-Sunday, October 26th). In the coming weeks, we’ll be publishing Between The Pages to provide you with detailed information. Our goal is to anticipate (I know, I know—don’t anticipate, right!?) questions pertaining to things like: Where do I bring my Agape letters, and how many do I need to write? When do I need to bring the pilgrim I’m sponsoring to send off? There are just so many particulars, we felt it would be helpful to communicate this information as the Weekend nears. So, keep your eyes on your email as we close in on October! Also, in our bi-monthly DCAE Newsletter, we include tips on sponsorship and Agape material.

The Darke County Emmaus Board wants to express to the community our deep appreciation for all of the hard work being done! From Gatherings to Set-up and Tear-down to the kitchen, your participation is inspiring. Ryan Holsher (Logistics Chair) and Jim Mann (Kitchen Coordinator) both are looking forward to working with so many of you who give generously with a servant’s heart. In this agricultural community, it is not surprising that commitment and hard work characterize your support.

The DCAE Board wanted to mention Chrysalis. Greg Bogan is our representative and has shared his warm-hearted appreciation for the Emmaus Community, supporting them. In recent years, the Chrysalis community has experienced a decline in participation. As we have begun attending their candlelight services, we have also learned some interesting things. Did you know that Chrysalis has called the Green Street United Methodist Church in Piqua, Ohio, home since 1987? Approximately 38 years of Chrysalis weekend events have witnessed 3,995 caterpillars transform into butterflies! What an incredible opportunity to invest in our up-and-coming community! If you would like more information concerning Chrysalis, please contact Greg Bogan. If you have never been to a Chrysalis candlelight service or closing, we encourage you to do so.

Finally, Men’s Walk #41 has been scheduled for March 19th-22nd in 2026. Mike Bowers will take the helm as Lay Director. He is a humble, loving servant of the Lord who, we believe, will be sensitive to the Spirit’s leading. If you know a man who is desiring to go deeper in his relationship with Christ, this could be their time! You can sign a pilgrim up early, for there are only 18 openings each walk.

In His Service,
Jeff Feitshans
