Letter from Community Lay Director

Announcement to our Emmaus Brothers and Sisters

Are we being the hands and feet of Jesus? Are you a part of a share group?
Do you come to gatherings? Do you serve on weekends? What are YOU doing for
Jesus? Our community is falling apart. Are we doing our part to show Jesus’ love?
We have so many board positions open. We are a community of around 3,000 yet
can barely get a board of 10 together! We know God blesses this ministry, but are
we doing all we can? Are we following the rules set forth by the Upper Room–To
do God’s will…. Will we trust God to bring Emmaus back to where He needs it to
be? Often, we fall short of being the servants He needs us to be. Emmaus is His
plan, His ministry! When we went through our weekend, we were told Christ is
counting on us… WE ARE COUNTING ON CHRIST. We love Him and seek His
wisdom to bring the men to this Spring Walk. The men Jesus needs to help our
community strengthen. We are seeking God’s grace and wisdom to let our light
shine throughout Darke County and throughout the world.
The board is searching for a host church. Until that is found we are not certain if
the Women’s Walk will be this fall or not.
If you have any suggestions please come to the Gathering on Sunday, March 10 at
6pm at Radiant Lighthouse. Also remember to bring a well-filled dish to share,
because when Emmaus meets— Emmaus eats! We look forward to seeing you
there.
